This is most likely due to the PATH ACT. EIC ... Few years ago it was made into Law for IRS to check thoroughly people who are claiming children. Weirdly my coworkers that claimed children who are married didnt get a hold. Yet, single or divorced parents that claim their kids,even every other yearhave holds until mid-Feb.
