After you file

Im trying to print my 2019 taxes from the tax page that says "download/print" and it isn't saving it. When I go to where it's supposed to be in my documents, it won't bring it up.
After efiling, it can take a while for the PDF accessible by that method to update with your return and be available at the Tax Home page or the "Your Tax Returns & Documents" section.
If you have already efiled, has the return been accepted? If not, it's best to way until it's accepted, since there will be some additional worksheets in your PDF, such as the Electronic Postmark. You can still print now, if you wish, but you may want to download/print another copy later on.
Here's an alternate way to print by opening your filed return back up to print at the Print Center. You should have several PDFs there to choose from.
NOTE: When you open your return back up, do NOT make any changes in it since it's already been filed (I presume). If you later need to amend the return, it has to start off exactly as it was when it was originally filed.
- Log in to your account, and either at the Tax Home or the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents" and tax year 2019, look for a link "Add a State" and click that. (that doesn't really add one. That's just to open your return back up.)
- After the return is open, click in the left menu column on TAX TOOLS, then PRINT CENTER.
- Then choose "Print, save, view this year's return."
- The next screen should offer 3 options: "Just my tax returns", or "include government worksheets (optional)", or "include government and TurboTax worksheets (optional.)"
- See if one of those PDFs has what you need.
NOTE: Remember all PDF tax documents and tax data files are very sensitive files, since they contain your personal ID info, financial data, and possibly bank account numbers, etc. Be sure to store them safely and securely to guard against computer theft, hacking, etc.
