After you file

You say you filed today.  If your return gets rejected for any reason, add the 1098-E before you resubmit.  But if it gets accepted, you won't be able to do that.  

 

You may not even have to do anything with it.  That form is for student loan interest that you paid and it may qualify you for a tax deduction.  The best thing to do is to wait until after your return is processed and then start an amended tax return.  If you qualify for the deduction, you can file the amendment.  If you don't, cancel it.  You aren't required to report it.
