I owed taxes, but had typo in the bank information I provided. didn't realize until a week later, because I noticed that the money was not taken from my checking account. I finally got a letter today from IRS informing me of this, and instructing me to pay as soon as possible! the letter came with a pay stub in case I was going to send a check, however the fastest way was to go to
www.irs.gov/directpay, enter my info for the tax year, and enter the correct bank information. payment went through immediately, and I have a confirmation receipt. you can also pay by credit card (though there is a fee) that address is:
