After you file
depends on when you file and how complicated (E.g. EIC) your return is. The IRS will not even begin processing returns until January 27.

Do not count on it. As NCperson said, the IRS is not even going to begin to accept/reject returns until January 27. And if you are getting earned income credit or additional child tax credit your refund is delayed by the PATH act. And there is no telling if you will experience delays caused by a requirement to verify identity, etc. Do not make plans that "count" on that refund being in your bank account by March 5.
