After you file
You didn't say what product you used, so this answer assumes you used Online TurboTax as opposed to the desktop product (CD/download).
How did you file the 2018 return? Did you efile your 2018 return successfully, or did you print and mail it?
First make sure it was filed at all. If you used Online TurboTax, log into your account, and at the Tax Home go to the left menu column and click on Previous Taxes. Or you can scroll down the Tax Home to "Your Tax Returns & Documents."
Choose tax year 2018.
Does it show that the return was "filed?"
If so, what is shown for "status"--does it say accepted, rejected, printed, started, ready to mail, or what?
If that shows that the return was successfully efiled and accepted, or if you printed and mailed the return, you can use this tool at the IRS website to check a Federal refund status:
https://www.irs.gov/Refunds
NOTE: When using that tool, use only the Federal refund amount, and not any total refund amount that includes a state refund. The amount to use is on your Federal Form 1040, Line 20a.
