I have a question. I am a student. When I file my parent's income tax on FAFSA, I put them as separate but live together. It went through fine. But when it came to my school, they want my parents to show a marriage certificate, but they don't have one, or go back and edit the filing joint to filing separate on their income tax account. I don't know what I should do. I don't know how and why would they ask for it when they accepted it previous years.
