After you file
The IRS will usually reject a return in which the social security, names and date of birth are not a match. It will be a matter of hours more than likely. At that time you will be able to go in and correct this issue.
If your return is rejected:
Proceed to the Your Personal Info summary screen and make sure that the Name and Social Security number for the first person on the return exactly matches the information on the Social Security card.
If your return is accepted:
Then that means they were able to verify the child against her social and you do not need to do anything.
