If you have already e-filed your federal return, please take the steps below to e-file your state return.
- Sign into TurboTax Online.
- Go
to Taxes >
Tax Timeline
- In the SOME THINGS
YOU CAN DO section,
click Add a state (even though you are not actually adding a state)
- Click on the State Taxes tab.
- Click Continue to start or complete your
state taxes.
- Click Done with
States.
- Near the top-right of your
screen, click the File tab.
- Keep
going until you get to the screen We've determined the easiest
way to file your taxes (you may need to click Prepare to Send to get there).
Please note that you will not be able to e-file your state return if your federal return was mailed or has not been e-filed.
