Ok ... first YOU efiled your return by clicking on the big orange transmit now button in the FILE tab ... the program cannot do it for you. If the efiled return was accepted then you cannot mail in another original return... the second filing would be rejected automatically. Did you get the original refund or pay the balance due on the 2017 return ?
Now ... did you need to amend the original return ? If so you had to mail in the 1040X. Or did you just make changes and mailed in a 1040 form ?
