Forms for NY State Amendment
So I have to amend my 2017 tax return for a Roth IRA recharacterization I did in 2018.
I have filled out Federal and NY State returns but my question is based on what all forms I need to send with the returns.
Federal very clearly states to send only forms that have changed. So I am going to send following:
1040x, edited schedule A for increase in itemized deductions due to lower income, and finally edited form 8606.
I am confused what all I need to send in for NY. It says send in any amended credit claim forms or other amended forms, new forms, or original credit claim forms. None of my forms changed except IT-201 so I will send that in IT-201x. But TurboTax also printed unchanged Schedule D, unchanged Schedule C, unchanged NY State modifications (IT-225), unchanged summary of W-2 (IT-2), and additional information sheet. Do I have to send all these in as well or I just send in IT-201x.
Any help with this will be appreciated.
