So you already have the *.tax2015 data file?
Was the 2015 return prepared in Online TurboTax? If so, did you download the *.tax2015 data file and are now using the 2015 special "amend software?" Or did you prepare it originally in 2015 desktop software and are using that software?

What happens when you try to open the *.tax2015 data file with the 2015 software? Any error message?
If your 2015 tax data file has a state return in it, you'll need to download the state software into your desktop software before you open the data file, or it will display an error.
