Donald trump has really [removed] up everything this year for peoples. Last year everybody got approved for advance loans and now all of a sudden didn't hardly nobody get [removed] this year, Everybody got denied. The  way [removed] is looking we might not get [removed] cause my return is like that, my mom, and my boyfriend is saying the same thing except for the code part. Its not giving me a code its just saying there's been a delay. Smh everything is just so [removed] up this year. They need to build this mans wall and wait for these years to go by and get this [removed] out of hear.

Thanks for everyone answering about the 1541 take action code. For the person who actually spoke to someone do we actually need to call them and verify or just sit and wait? I filed 01/26/19 and was accepted 01/27/19 checked yesterday said proceing today the 1541 code popped up. Did the rep tell you why this actually means and if we have to call to verify?

Same here.  Code 1541 and filed over two weeks ago.  

I went through it last year.. basically all they’re doing is verifying your employer info on your w2 making sure it lines up... going over your dependents making sure their not bouncing around with different people through the years (real strick now) & that’s pretty much it.... if everything is fine then nothing to worry about... just a wait process...they released mines & I received em March 1st last year!But the key thing is you don’t have to go through that anymore down the line!! I filed Feb 1st this year & allready got my release date Feb 22...Good luck & God bless

I keep reading everywhere that people have a "1541 take action" issue. Mine does not say that. Mine just states that there is a delay and goes into saying that if I have any questions to just call them and "mention reference number 1541". Does anyone know what it could mean without the take action part?

I would call the IRS but its the weekend, so while I play the waiting game, I am seeing what I can find from other people.

I have the same "Take Action!" Reference code 1541. Last week when I called the IRS the rep said "Oh it's just an internal code. It's from the EIC & ACTC so nothing for you to worry about". As of yesterday 2/18 still says the same thing on Where's my Refund. So I called again and spoke with a different rep who told me that I should be receiving a letter in the mail from them asking for more information? And the quicker I complete it the quicker my refund will be! But she couldn't tell me what the letter said?!?! I am so confused, worried, irritated....you name it! If you use your phone app to check the status it will just say that there is a delay with your return etc. But if you use a desktop computer and check on the IRS website that's where it says "Take Action!". Good luck everyone!

mine says the same thing: "Take Action" reference number 1541. When I called the irs they just told me that it may take up to 11 weeks for them to process my taxes because they are so backed up. From what I understand a lot of people are getting a 1541 or 9001 code and all it is really is that the irs is so backed up. hope this helps someone

Mines also a dalay take action 1541.. I called lady said it could be two reason they have till April 1 send you a letter but one should already be sent out.. I have not received anything at all.. An now when you call you can't even speak to irs...

Same issue with mine. What type of verification is needed in the letter ? If anyone has been through this , what did they ask for that way i can gather

When I called they said they would send a letter if anything needed verification regarding my 1541 delayed code. Accepted by IRS 01/28 kept saying processing on site then 02/16 site said delayed 1541 gave me a direct extension called them she said she doesn’t see any issue with mine just need longer time to process kept asking why she didn’t know and said I’m suppose
To get letter going on a month soon and haven’t heard anything they said to expect my refund before April 18tj. Could come sooner or later :(

i got the same thing as well last weekend and i finally got through to someone yesterday and they told me the same thing, its being reviewed but couldnt tell me why, just give it some time and i should get a return by March 17 and if not call back, i filed mine jan 28th, the same way i do every year through turbotax, i have friends getting theirs back next week and mine still says delayed, and they filed theirs a week later than i did, im very frustrated. ill update if i hear anything new.

Thank you please do It is very frustrating and I hate that they aren't telling us anything, hopefully we will get answers at some point. If anyone gets a new answer or a DDD please inform us. Im worried
