I need to amend my 2017 return. When I was done, the 1040X
column A was different from the original 1040 for tax year 2017.
I did update
turboTax2017 before the amendment. But when I loaded my 2017 original tax file,
the updated software showed exactly the same federal and state taxes, so I
think I started in the same place. One thing that might be odd is that when I
started the amendment, the software showed a refund even before I made any
change.
