It does make sense, however, you may want to post a new question for a Tax Professional to answer for that part of the question so they can assist in helping determine if you'd get a bigger refund (they can help you determine based on your AGI/Taxable income). If your taxable income is zero sometimes adding deductions does not necessarily equate to a refund.
