Yes, you can file your husband's return now. If you cannot include your information, he should file Married Filing Separately. This return can be e-filed.
When you have all your information, you can file an amended return. The form 1040X will not be available until mid-February, so there is no rush. Begin the amendment with his e-filed return and add your information. Instructions for amending from Married Filing Separately to Married Filing Jointly are below.
