Online TurboTax is currently only for tax year 2018.

Does your 2017 PDF not have all the worksheets?     If not, or if they don't have everything you need, you'll need to phone TurboTax Support and explain the situation.  Tell them you need to resolve an IRS letter and need to be able to open up all your return to review it.  Ask them if they will provide a complimentary download of the 2017 desktop software.  Once you have the software you can download your *.tax2017 data file and open it in the 2017 software.

The fastest and easiest way to reach them with this issue is through the free TurboTax Audit Support Center, who helps customers who have IRS letters.   You can phone them directly during business hours.  5AM-5PM Pacific (8AM-8PM Eastern) Monday-Friday.    To get the phone number go to the page below, click the blue "Get Help" link, and follow the prompts.

When you phone the number, the automated system will first ask if you have a case number, so say "No."   When it asks "How can I help you today?" just simply say "IRS Letter", and the robot will then ask "What tax year?".  Then it should transfer you to the right department.
