Is it a Form 1040A or 1040EZ? To look for the EIC (Earned Income Credit) :
On a 1040A, look at line 42a.
On a 1040EZ, look at line 8a.
If you haven't yet filed, you can preview your 1040, this way:
- Log in and open your return.
- Click at the top on MY ACCOUNT, then choose "View Tax Summary."
- In the Tax Summary screen, click at the top on "Preview Form 1040."
