After you file

No one can tell you "exactly" when you will receive your refund. The IRS goal is for 9 out of 10 taxpayers to receive their refund within 21 day's of IRS acceptance. For those taxpayers who claim the Earned Income Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit, the IRS expects refunds to begin to hit bank accounts starting on Feb 27, 2018.

If you just filed your return (within the last 24 hours) you will have to wait just a little bit longer to start tracking your refund (Federal only). It can take up to 48 hours after you e-file your taxes for the IRS to Accept or Reject your return.

Use https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/ to get your current status (pending, accepted, or rejected). Once accepted use this link https://www.irs.gov/refunds Where's My Refund? to check the status of your federal tax refund. Visit your state Dept. of Revenue to check on your state refund or use the TurboTax FAQ Below.
