If you choose to file without itemizing deductions you can simply go back and delete some of your deductions to lower the amount. TurboTax would then use your standard deduction.
- Sign into your TurboTax account (online)

Select the Federal tab in the black navigation panel on the left

Select Deductions & Credits

Scroll to select a category > Add/Update
- Delete any or all of the deductions entered (use the trashcan next to an item)
