After you file
To edit "Other taxes paid" or add estimated tax payments paid during the year, when you log in to your return:
- Click 'Take me to my return' and then 'Pick up where I left off'
- Next, select 'Federal Taxes' and then 'Deductions & Credits'
- Scroll down to the 'Estimates and other taxes paid' section and click 'Show more'
- One of the first two options in this section, should say 'Revisit' to the right of their description (either 'Estimates' or 'Other Income Taxes')
- Click 'Revisit' and the next screen will ask you, "Do any of these situations apply to you?" click 'Yes'
- Next, you'll see a list of numerous items. Click the button that says 'Update' or 'Revisit' and on the next screen you'll be able to change the amount
- If you want to make the amount zero, I recommend pressing delete and not entering "0"
