Cannot Correct 2017 Tax rejected by IRS

PLEASE NOTE I went through the Automated Intuit Voice System and IT COULD NOT RECOGNIZE ME despite the fact I had Support ID, email and phone# of my Intuit account.

 

I filed my 2017 Taxes via E-File on 13th Sep 2018.

  • Later that day the IRS rejected the e-file because the Social Security Number for my wife was incorrect.
  • Today (13th Dec – 3 months after the rejection) and found the email from Intuit stating the return needs to be updated. I clicked the button in the email “Let’s fix my return”.
  •  After clicking the button and logging into turbo tax and locating the 2017 return, I cannot locate a place on Turbo Tax online to fix the error. There is no “Fix My Return” Button.
  • Please note: I am NOT amending the form because the IRS never accepted it. I am fixing an error so the IRS will accept it for the very first time. How can I fix the error on 2017 Online return?
