I assume you signed your form 1040 (NOT W-2) and mailed it back to the IRS. The clock will probably start ticking again from the beginning on the processing of your tax return. It takes 6-8 weeks for a mailed return to be processed. You can start tracking it after about 4 weeks using the IRS tracking web site:
