EIC credit
I claimed my daughter for 2016, but I wasn’t claiming her so her dad could in 2017. Well we just found out that somehow or other the EIC got put on my taxes and I have no idea how to fix it. I of course can not get ahold of anyone in the IRS to find out how to fix it. Can anyone help me?!?

Only the person with whom the child lived for the most number of nights during the year can claim the EIC. Are you divorced or living apart or are all of you living together?
