Amended returns
I selected direct debit on my filed return (Federal and California), and then amended my returns to appropriately reflect a slightly lower total income due to a miscalculation. I understand the amended application needs to be sent by mail, but do I need to send checks with the amended return or will direct debit still apply? If I need to send checks, will there be a risk that I am double charged, even temporarily?
