If you do not have a bank account, you can still request your refund by check. The downside is it could take 1-3 weeks longer to receive your refund this way, however it is still an option.
The steps to update that in your return are below if you need them:
- With your return open, click the File tab
- You will
land on the last step page
- Complete Step 1 if you haven't already
- Then, the
second line should say "Your refund info"
- To apply
your preference, click Start or Revisit
- Select Paper check
- Scroll to
the bottom of the page and click Continue
Please note: You may not select a paper check if you are having your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund.
