You should wait on any Federal refund to arrive before amending. See what the refund amount is, just in case the IRS caught it and adjusted it, although I doubt that is likely this early in the year. If
they do change something, and you get a different refund amount, they
should send you a letter about 3 weeks later explaining what.
In the meantime, do not make any changes in your return. If you have to amend, it has to start off exactly as originally filed.
The amended return cannot be efiled. It has to be printed and mailed, and can take the IRS up to 16 weeks to process.
If you amend the Federal return, you may have to amend your state return as well, if applicable.
