When you accidentally requested a copy of your return it automatically generated Form 4506.
Here are the steps to delete the Form 4506 in TurboTax Online:
- Open your return in TurboTax.
- Sign in to TurboTax, and click the orange "Take me to my return" button.
- In the upper right corner, click My Account then go to Tools.
- In the pop-up window, select Delete a Form.
- Click Delete next to the Form 4506.
To Delete the Form in the TurboTax CD/Download software:

Go to View at the top then select Forms.
- Select Form 4506 in the left pane.
- The Form will populate on your screen.
- Next select Delete a Form at the bottom left of the window.
- Go back to View at the top and select Step-by-Step to continue your return.
