If the federal tax return is
rejected you can correct the bank routing and account number information
and re-file the tax return.
If the tax return is accepted and the IRS
attempts to direct deposit the tax refund and the deposit is rejected by
the bank then the IRS will mail you a refund check to the address
entered on your tax return.
