After you file
Do you mean your 2015 Federal refund was never received?
Did
you efile the return? If so, did you get an email that the return was
submitted, followed by a later email that the return was accepted?
You can phone the IRS to see if they actually received the 2015 return. I'll tell you how below.
If
you efiled, you can phone TurboTax Support, and they can tell you if
the return was successfully efiled and accepted, or whether it was
rejected. If you mailed the return, then only the IRS will know. Here's how to reach TurboTax Support:

When calling the IRS do not choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
- First choose your language. Listen to each menu before making the selection.
- Then press 2 for "personal income tax".
- Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
- Then press 4 "for all other questions."
- Then press 2 "for all other questions." It should then transfer you to an agent, but there is likely to be a long wait.
I usually use a speakerphone so I can work on something else while waiting.
