What do I put if my state taxes were taken last year?
I'm under wages and income and its asking me to pick either
- I made my 4th quarter estimated tax payment for my 2015 taxes after December 31st, 2015
- I sent in a payment with my 2015 South Carolina tax extension request
- I made a payment when I filed my 2015 South Carolina tax return
-I applied some or all of my South Carolina refund toward 2016 estimated tax
or
- None of the above
I had a water bill left in my name from a previous year and they took my state taxes to pay for that, so I never got those state taxes. Whats the best answer for me?

After you file
If none of those apply to you, then you would choose none. If you were owed a refund, and it was used to pay a bill, then it is still considered as you having received that refund. So, if you did not make any of the payments listed in the first 3 choices, and you didn't apply your expected refund to 2016 estimated taxes, you would choose none.
