In order to be presented an option to get your Federal refund by check in the mail, you will have to pay any TurboTax fees upfront. If you chose to pay any fees out of your Federal refund, it will not present you an option to get a check.
If you chose that option to pay your fees out of your Federal refund, you can remove it prior to filing and then pay the TurboTax
fee upfront with credit card, debit card, or a prepaid debit card you
can buy in a store. Here's how to remove it, depending on your location:
