After you file
Once you e-file your return and IRS accepts it, then your return is on IRS timetable. You will not see your refund expected date, on the IRS website, until after IRS approves the refund. If it is accepted, then it goes to phase two where IRS will do a deeper search for errors. If no errors are found and you pass the second phase, then your refund will get the stamp of approval. After you receive the approval, IRS will give the refund amount and the estimated refund date.
