We recommend that you file an amended tax return to report your obligation to file an FBAR. You'll mail in the Form 1040X along with a new Schedule B to the IRS. There's no need to amend your state tax return. There is no fee for preparing an amended return with TurboTax. Please see the instructions below for preparing an amended return. Also, keep in mind that the deadline for filing the FBAR is April 15, 2017.
