I received a letter from IRS- Notice CP49, that they applied my federal tax refund to a 2014 tax debt. This is the 1st time I've heard of this debt.

I'm a single mother with an average income. I've always gotten money back. I am wondering, why this is happening, and where do I begin investigating?
