Federal taxes have been filed an accepted. I need to make an amendment though. Should I file my state taxes first as is then file amendments?

Federal taxes have been filed an accepted. I need to make an amendment though. Should I file my state taxes first as is then file amendments?
I ask because Turbo Tax is having me send amended state returns but I haven't filed initially anyway.
