I forgot to include my 2nd 1098-E & when filing an amendment it's asking me to confirm that I received the my initial return $$, however I have not received that yet.

There's also no 'no' option when asked to confirm prior returns amount received or paid.

You never want to amend until you receive your refund from the original return that you filed.

If you have already e-filed or mailed the return, you will need to wait until the IRS has accepted and you have received your refund, then you will need to amend that return to add the 1098-E form. If your return gets rejected, you can just make the needed changes and file again.

Once you receive your refund, you can go here https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/3061514 and get instructions for amending.
