Thank you for your responses. This is all great information but what I am looking for really is something more specific. I get the idea that what I would need to do is fill out a letter stating that I wish to add the property taxes to the cost basis for 2022 taxes and add it as some kind of additional page when I submit my Turbo Tax efile. This is what I am planning to do and what I hope will work. The greater unknown though is how to do this retroactively and if that will work. No one seems to know what to do or how this works specifically. My guess would be to use a previous version of Turbo Tax and do the same but with a tax amendment page 1040-X also included. Before doing all this though, it would be nice to know first if it will work and if so, how far back it will work, instead of just doing it and being hopeful. Thanks for any help in advance.
