Update as of 11.14.22:
Called IRS ageain and i am being told the same. That they dont see my returned form in their system and to keeep checking. At this point, i am thinking it got lost in the mail and i am planning to do an amendment.
Update: I sent mine out early april and called the irs in May and again today was told the same thing. That it doesn't show the letter I sent is in their system. They said it doesn't mean they don't have it just means they are backed up and haven't gotten around to it and to oretty much just keep waiting. They told me just now they are so behind that they're barely getting to paperwork that was sent in October of last year
I got a hold of someone within minutes by calling eight six six five six two five two two seven
