The direct answer is to search "identity protection pin" NOT "IP PIN"
The Step-by-Step location to input the PIN is:

Alternately, you can use FORMS to access the Identity Protection PIN field
Go to FORMS This should open the FORM 1040 or FORM 1040-SR WORKSHEET
Go to Info Wks This should take you to Page 3.
About a quarter way down, you will see.. Identity Protection PIN
Fill in your IP PIN here.
