you named the subject 'recovery rebate', but that is the stimulus and is listed on Line 30 for Form 1040.
The Child Tax Credit is on Line 28 of Form 1040. this should be the $3600 LESS what you received for the Advance last year.
Let's check what you have on these two lines - and that may be the problem.
