I previously said "But, since you didn't save the actual filed state return (except as a pdf), you will have go go thru the state program and amend it too. That should restore your state data, to what you file."
I shoulda said MAY have to amend the sate return. After you complete the fist six steps, re-open the software and review your state forms. Compare them to the previously saved PDF. If they are the same, you're done.
If you need to amend the state, click on the STATE TAXES tab, then Illinois. Go thru the state program until you are asked if you need to amend.
