Get your taxes done using TurboTax
But what if I mistakenly added a non-resident state form I don't need after all? It is paid for, because to file an extension I had to pay for all three returns in advance. (Your software advisors told me otherwise.)
I can't delete the nonresident state return, because that's not possible in TurboTax if it is paid for.
My resident state requires a different form if I am not splitting my earning on a "worked in 2 states" form.
There is an endless loop which results in Missouri being on the wrong form, so I can't complete or e-file it.
But if I have to do it manually on paper, of course I can't e-file, or migrate info from my federal return. This means I need to know everything I'd need to know to file my own taxes--forms, definitions, everything! ...and all without software assistance. I will miss the expert review AND the extra protections I also paid for.
That's ridiculous! Surely this can't be. This is exactly what I did NOT want to have to do and why I paid for "live help self-employed deluxe--$366.00 worth.
