Face it.

The 1116B problem only affects a small minority of filers.

TurboTax has made a decision not to expend resources to address the problem.

They may have looked at it and found the issue difficult to fix.

So the solution is to ignore it and not care about loosing a few customers.

TurboTax, in general, starts getting more wonky as the complexity of your returns increase.

With K1's, LLC's, lots of contracts and straddles, etc ...

Unfortunately the main option is to go thru a regular accountant who'll charge you $5K while paying minimum wage for some rookie to manually enter data and then you have to go over it again with a fine tooth comb to root out the mistakes. As the old saying goes - been there, done that.
