Adoptive daughter name and social number changed can I amend my return with new info
How long do I have to wait to amend my tax return after my adopted child’s social number and name changed through the social security office. Will the irs have her new name and social in there
My adoptive daughters biological father illegally claimed her on taxes so I had to file through the mail which it’s been 12 weeks and they still haven’t even opened it. I finally just recieved her new social security number connected to her new name. Can I now amend or efile with her new social number and name and have it go through . How long will it take social security to update the irs to have her social and name connected in the irs system ? thank you
