The basic instructions to correct this do not work for all situations and you end up in a never ending loop of insanity. The issue is you can't enter an amount where needed using the online version.

You don't have to file Form 5405. Instead, enter the repayment on your 2021 Schedule 2 (Form 1040), line 10. requirement continues until the year in which the 2-year period ends. On the tax return for the year in which the 2-year period ends, you must include all remaining installments as an increase in tax.
Answering the questions wrong when going through the steps do get to the form but then you end up with answer those questions wrongly as well.
Any option but the first one which says you still have the home as your main home won't allow you to enter anything where it says to do so with the online version.
If that's not correct, I would love to know how to get to that form and enter an amount.
