Your tax extension will not apply to your child. You can still file an extension for the child. Simply log into Turbotax.com and open an account.
If your child had earned income (A job or 1099-NEC) they should not have been included on your tax return anyway. That is for unearned income (1099-INT, 1099- DIV or stock sales.
