Get your taxes done using TurboTax
All you need to do to get 1/3 of your 2020 distribution recorded is to search for 1099-R and use the Jump to 1099-R link. You will either see:
- the summary screen - Click Done OR
- did you receive a 1099-R in 2021? Answer NO.
The next screen will ask if you took any disaster distributions anytime between 2018 and 2020 - answer YES and TurboTax will walk you through reporting the income applicable to 2021. It will go on Form 8915-F. The new form replaces Forms 8915A-E.
