I need to talk to a tax person, I filed a federal extension, but can I still file state? Turbotax doesn't give me the option

There were some issues on my federal and TT is requiring me to talk to a tax advisor, but it will be after the filing deadline so I need to file an extension. After going through the process I no longer can file my state return -- help!
