Sorry to hear about that. I succeeded with Schwab import a while ago. Guess I was lucky.
As a work around you could enter a single transaction for each type (short/term long/term) to get an good number for what you owe or should get back. Then pay what you owe (rounded up to be sure), file an extension, and come back before Oct 15 to see if it is fixed.
Or you can tell TT that you will only enter the summary totals. TT will then have you print out a Form 8453. After your efile is accepted you mail in the 8453 with a copy of your 1099-b and you are all set.
Both are not what one wants, but they aren't that bad.
